You will first experience the new Hot Air Balloon mechanic while progressing through the main storyline of Mabinogi: Dragon. Hot Air Balloons come in two flavors. The smaller balloon acts as a modest vehicle, able only to transport you and a few friends. The larger balloon, on the other hand, also contains four ballista emplacements, which act as your main offense against the Wyverns. To launch a Hot Air Balloon, you will need to purchase a kit that contains the balloon, a basket, and flint, the fuel required to keep the balloon in the air. To operate a ballista, you must first purchase ballista bolts from an NPC in the Callide Exploration Camp.

Upon entering Wyvern territory, all hell breaks loose. The flying creatures attack from all directions, raining fire, ice, lighting, and physical attacks down on you and your friends.
