Grab a handful of friends and take to the skies in the brand new Hot Air Balloon feature! Soar across the treacherous volcanic landscape of Sardine and battle hordes of Wyverns as sulfuric fumes drift dangerously far beneath you. You will first experience the new Hot Air Balloon mechanic while progressing through the main storyline of Mabinogi: Dragon. Then, you will be able to take part in a mini-game of sorts fending off Wyverns while gliding through the sky in a Hot Air Balloon.

Hot Air Balloons come in two flavors. The smaller balloon acts as a modest vehicle, able only to transport you and a few friends. The larger balloon, on the other hand, also contains four ballista emplacements, which act as your main offense against the Wyverns. To launch a Hot Air Balloon, you will need to purchase a kit that contains the balloon, a basket, and flint, the fuel required to keep the balloon in the air. To operate a ballista, you must first purchase ballista bolts from an NPC in the Callide Exploration Camp.

Upon entering Wyvern territory, all hell breaks loose. The flying creatures attack from all directions, raining fire, ice, lighting, and physical attacks down on you and your friends. To stay alive, you¡¯ll need to work together. Only magic, ranged attacks, and the ballistae attached to your Hot Air Balloon can reach your winged enemies. Once you are satisfied that you have given the Wyverns a good beating, return to the Callide Exploration camp and speak with an NPC to get rewarded for your efforts.
